Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How long have you been painting?
A. I've been creating practically all my life, but my journey as an oil painter started January of 2015 when I took a 10-week oil class with Robert Lemler at Scottsdale Artist's School.
Q. What are you going to school for?
A. I'm going to Arizona State University for painting and art education. Although I am getting my formal education there, I've learned all I know about painting from workshops.
Q. Do you take commissions?
A. Not anymore.
Q. What are you going to do after you're done with school?
A. Continue to paint, of course! Ideally, I'd like to travel across the country while doing so.
Q. Are you represented by any galleries?
A. I am currently not represented by any galleries, but I was previously represented by Shemer Gallery, Art One Gallery, and the Lawrence Gallery here in Scottsdale.
Q. What is your favorite subject to paint?
A. I started out painting a lot of portraits, and I still highly enjoy that, but recently I have expanded to still-life and scenery. I don't really have a specialty yet, nor do I know if I will ever have one.
Q. Who are you favorite artists?
A. I have many! They include, but are not limited to: Nicolas Uribe, Daniel Keys, Clyde Aspevig, Richard Prather, Jeremy Lipking, Kenneth Yarus, Miles Johnston, Andre Moya, Mike Malm, Kehinde Wiley, Eric Bowman, Scott Burdick, Roberto Ferri, Richard Schmidt, and Egon Schiele
